Grace Murray Hopper Award
Progeny Systems was honored that individuals from the Non-Tactical Data Processing System (NTDPS) program were recognized with the Grace Murray Hopper Award for their involvement with the Technical Data Knowledge Management (TDKM) project. The Grace Murray Hopper award is given to recognize projects making exceptional contributions to mission accomplishment, cost effectiveness and service to the public. The team was given the award for Category V: Access to Information which highlights projects that provide individuals and enterprises with access to useful government information. TDKM is fielded in the Submarine Fleet via NTDPS and without such technical and program coordination between Naval Sea Systems Command and Industry partners, the benefits of the TDKM project might not have been realized by Sailors around the globe.

Army Quality Award: SBIR/STTR Phase II
Progeny Systems Corporation has developed the Aerial Canopy MASINT Sensor System (ACMS)—an air deployable remote monitoring system for the Soldier that allows significantly better intelligence gathering and information transmission in any environment. ACMS enhances situational awareness and precision targeting without risk of personnel loss. Fundamental to ACMS is a forward area dispersed array of sensors and communications relays that have already demonstrated successful, remote deployment from both a helicopter and a Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. The work being conducted by Progeny provides a cost-effective, high performance approach to ACMS by designing a configurable payload capability that features flexibility of signal processing capabilities, sensor packages, deployment options, and RF communication links. ACMS can effectively be used for early warning, area denial, facilities protection, Combat Search and Rescue, Counterterrorism, Border Patrol, and Counter Drug Operations. [»]
Cogswell Award
The James S. Cogswell Award was established in 1966 and named in honor of the late Colonel James S. Cogswell, USAF, the first chief of the unified office of Industrial Security. Colonel Cogswell was responsible for developing the basic principles of the Industrial Security Program, including the Program's emphasis on partnership between industry and government to accomplish industrial security objectives, and excellence for the benefit of its ultimate customer, the U.S. warfighter. The Cogswell Award is the most prestigious honor for cleared industry. Of nearly 11,000 cleared contractors less than one tenth of one percent are annually selected to receive this Defense Security Service Award. Achieving this distinction requires extraordinary excellence involving a total team effort by top management, the facility security officer, and the facility work force. [»]
