ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement Manager

Progeny Systems is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the Purchasing, Shipping/Receiving, Materials/Inventory, Subcontracts and Government Property functions. Responsibilities will include general management oversight of the systems, processes and personnel supporting these functions.

Successful candidate will have experience performing CPSR audits and knowledge of FAR/DFAR and GAAP. Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering or related fields. 5+ yrs experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Materials Management within Government Contractor setting. Full time position working out of Progeny Systems office in Manassas, VA. Incumbent will work on a small team as a senior systems engineer on the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS). SWFTS is an engineering and development effort that provides services to support the deployment of submarine systems. Incumbent will work closely with developers to ensure requirements are met. CWL Systems Engineer

Full time position working out of Progeny headquarters in Manassas Va. Incumbent will be required to perform systems engineering and analysis for DOD/Navy electronics/software systems under development with an emphasis on submarine combat and weapon systems. This effort will include requirements analysis and decomposition into lower level specifications ( i.e. software requirements specifications, hardware requirements specifications, interface requirements specifcations and other related program documentation). The incumbent will be working with internal and external engineering and software development teams to reconcile and document data flows and planned or implemented technical approaches and also assist in the development of test plans and procedures to document proper testing of selected technical solutions.
Incumbent will require at least a bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or computer science with at least 3 years of experience in DOD/navy systems engineering. At least five additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
A DOD SECRET security clearance is required. Occasional travel will be required within CONUS, primarily to the Newport RI area.

Information Architect/Engineer

We are seeking experienced candidates with 10+ years experience and a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field to fill a senior level Information Architect/Engineer position in our Manassas, VA facility. Incumbent will work on a fast-paced product engineering team which includes representatives from multiple contracting organizations. The team supports development and maintenance of the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) product – which provides Command and Control (C2) capabilities for all services of the US and is expanding rapidly into several Foreign Military Sales (FMS) markets.
The incumbent will be responsible for numerous systems engineering activities for JADOCS, as we rapidly service the growing needs of multiple DoD customers. Progeny Systems Corporation is seeking an experienced contracts administrator for oversight of contract policies and practices. This position will be at the Manassas, VA corporate headquarters. The company of 250+ employees is a fast growing government contractor with locations in various states within the US.

The company requires a candidate that is knowledgeable and experienced with federal procurement regulations and the administration of Government contracts through the contract life cycle from proposal development and contract award to contract close out.

Mid/Upper Level Systems Engineer

Full time position working out of Progeny Systems office in Somerset, KY. Incumbent will work on a small team as a senior systems engineer on the Aerial Canopy System (ACS). The ACS is an Army project for providing communications and sensor data exfiltration from a light weight aerobody. This is a small office and we anticipate growth and new start up programs as well as supporting various programs out of our headquarters in Manassas, VA. Incumbent will work closely with developers to ensure requirements are met. Incumbent will work directly with program managers and other lead engineers to ensure all milestones are met. Incumbent will develop or manage the development of test tools as required to support system testing.
Requirements:
• DoD and/or Homeland Security experience highly desired.
• Programming experience in C/C++ and Java.
